The Panasonic Jell remote concept. I’ve seen this way back in 2003-ish and it’s been on my mind for years. The thing I think is interesting is the fact that it hardens when the current is running or when it’s “on,” retrieving the affordances of a remote controller. On the flip side, letting its owner to avoid breaking it by sitting on it when he accidentally left it on the sofa is just an added bonus! I’ve always imagined this to be useful for baby monitors.
